VAST fund, a mix of offshore and domestic, will invest in the range of $50-75 Mn.
Violet Arch Capital is founded by Varun Bajpai, former SBI Macquarie Infrastructure Fund chief executive.

3) Italy Based Fabbrica Italiana Acquires 18.5% Stake In Writefine Pencils

Italy based Fabbrica Italiana Lapis ed Affini (FILA) has acquired 18.5% stake in RR Group's Writefine Products Pvt Ltd with the option to increase its stake up to 50%. Writefine Products will now operate as a JV.
Leonardo&Co advised FILA, while Altaberke Capital Advisors were the financial advisors to the RR Group.

4) L&T Infra Raises $100Mn For Solar Projects

L&T Infrastructure Finance Company Limited has raised $100Mn for solar power projects through ECB.
According to BL, the ECB borrowings have been done to lower the cost of funds. The company has drawn $45 Mn till September 30, of the total ECB borrowings so far.
The issue is on and closes on February 11.

5) Jacob Ballas May BuyOut IDFC PE's Stake In Karaikal Port

Jacob Ballas may buyout IDFC Project Equity's stake in Karaikal Port Pvt Ltd, reports BS.
IDFC Project Equity had invested R150Cr through it's India Infrastructure Fund in March 2010. In September2011, it raised R200Cr from Ascent Capital.
