1) HUDCO To Raise R4685Cr Through Tax Free Bonds

Housing and Urban Development Corporation (Hudco) is planning to raise up to R4685Cr through a public issue of tax-free bonds.
The company proposes to make a public issue of tax-free bonds of face value of R1,000 each and the bonds will be issued at par in one or more tranches.
The funds raised will be utilised in project financing.
Enam Securities and SBI Capital Markets are the lead managers to the issue.

2) Oil India May Bid For Cove Energy Plc

Oil India Ltd may bid for Cove Energy Plc, which put itself up for sale last week.
According to reports, bids for Cove Energy may exceed $1.2Bn, Cove has a maket value of $950Mn. Oil India may face competition from Chinese suitors.
Standard Chartered Bank and Cenkos Securities Plc are advising Cove on the sale.

3) Sistema Shyam Raises R1280Cr Through NCDs

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited has raised R1280Cr from Deutsche Bank through NCDs.
The company will utilize the proceeds to further scale up telecom operations and repayment of maturing loan. The tenor of the entire amount is eight years, repayable by 2019.

4) France Based Vinci Acquires NAPC Ltd

France based construction major - Vinci has acquired 100% stake in Chennai based NAPC Ltd for an undisclosed amount.
Varun Manian - Vice Chairman, NAPC Ltd, has resigned from the Board and Vice-Chairmanship. His father, Mr K.S. Manian, who is today the Chairman, will however continue as NAPC's Managing Director for three years.
Manians will deploy the proceeds into the family's real estate and renewable energy businesses.

5) FICCI To Raise $15 Mn Venture Capital Fund

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) along with civilian foreign aid agency of the US federal government, USAID has launched $15 Mn (R78Cr) VC fund - Millennium Innovation Fund.
The fund will support, sustain and scale up grand local ideas and innovations that can also be commercialised for India and other emerging markets.

6) DaVita Inc, NEA Invests $25Mn In NephroLife Care

Kidney Care provider - DaVita Inc. and New Enterprise Associates have invested $25Mn in Bangalore based NephroLife Care Pvt Ltd. The funds will be used to expand it's presence across the country.
NephroLife was started in 2009 by Shriram Vijayakumar. It runs 10 renal care clinics across Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Puducherry, Hosur and Tumkur. Its flagship clinics have 20-25 beds. The company intends to have 50 centres across India by 2015.
