1) Fidelity, Qualcomm Invests In Bigshoebazaar

Bigshoebazaar India Private Limited, an online wholesaler and retailer of shoes, apparel, bags, accessories and gift items has raised R100Cr in Series C round of funding led by Fidelity Growth Partners, Qualcomm Ventures and existing investors Nexus Venture and Catamaran Ventures for expansion.
Last July, Big Shoe Bazaar raised Series B round of Rs.40 Cr from Catamaran Ventures (R26Cr) and Nexus Ventures Partners (14Cr), by diluting 20% stake. In 2010, it raised Series A round of R10Cr from Nexus Venture Partners

2) KPIT Cummins To Acquire Minority Stake In Sankalp Semiconductor

KPIT is acquiring minority stake in the Sankalp Semiconductor Private Limited. The semiconductor hardware solutions business of KPIT Cummins Infosystems has entered into a partnership with Sankalp Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd and formed a wholly owned subsidiary named Sankalp & KPIT Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd., according to a press release on BSE.

Adcock Ingram Healthcare Private Limited has acquired certain assets of Goa based Cosme Farma Laboratories for R70.8Cr to expand its operations in India.
The acquisition of Cosme Farma would provide Adcock Ingram to enter highly fragmented and competitive market with its own brand of products and capabilities.

4) OVL Plans IPO To Fund Overseas Acquisition

ONGC Videsh Limited is planning an IPO to raise close to R5000 Cr to fund overseas acquisition of oil assets.
Parent company ONGC had come up with a FPO earlier this year worth R12000 Cr and received a low response.

5) Future Capital Exits Myra Mall Management

Future Capital Holdings has sold its wholly owned subsidiary Myra Mall Management Company to Jaydev Mody owned Providence Educational Academy for R98Cr.
The sale comes after the Government deferred the clearance of Warburg Pincus' purchase of Future Capital, stating that the Indian finance company must first hive off its wholly-owned real estate subsidiary.

6) IFC Invests In Global Indian International School

IFC has proposed to provide SGD $25Mn to Global Indian International School(GIIS), run by the Global Schools Foundation for expansion.
The amount has been invested for Greenfield and acquisitions in the lesser developed countries in South and South East Asia. GIIS plans to use a significant part of the funding in India where two new schools are scheduled to come up in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, to complement its existing schools in Noida, Surat and Indore.

7) Mindlogicx To Merge With SQL Star

Genpact is acquiring Ohio based Triumph Engineering, an engineering and technical services provider for an undisclosed amount.The acquisition will enhance Genpact’s service portfolio for the infrastructure and manufacturing sector by adding capabilities in the segment of engineering and technical services.As part of the deal, 90 Triumph employees will join Genpact's Infrastructure, Manufacturing and Services (IMS) vertical.

9) L&T Acquires Malaysian Busduct System Manufacturer Henikwon Corp

Larsen & Tubro Limited has acquired Malaysia based Henikwon Corporation Sdn Bhd, a busduct systems manufacturer through its Malaysian subsidiary Tamco Switchgear.
The Henikwon acquisition brings a strong customer base of large corporations to Tamco.
Established in 1982, Henikwon Corporation is a leading manufacturer of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) busduct systems. Henikwon brand is globally well recognized and offers high quality products under compliance to international quality standards.
